Naeel Al Zoheri | |
Hi my name is Naeel Al-Zoheri, I am 14 years of age and I was born in Iraq. I was in Iraq and then I went to Jordan, after that my family and I came to Australia. When I first came to Australia I went to a primary school it was called Liverpool West public school. I started there in year 2. When I finished primary school I came to Lurnea High School and am still here.
In year 8 I painted a picture in class and so Miss Daley said “you are a good painter, would you like to come and paint a shoe for me and a women in Canada.” So I said to Miss Daley “yeah, why not.”
Miss Daley got a group of people and I was one of them. Miss Daley explained about the shoes, when she finished explaining about the shoes she said “let’s go and paint them.” She also said that the shoes represented the children in war.
So now I am going to tell you about my shoe and how I painted my shoe. First Miss Daley brought some things to add on to the shoe if we liked. I got a train, a piece from a scarf and put it on the back of my train. I painted my shoe and on the front I made some flowers to represent happiness. I stuck my shoe on top of the train. The barbwire represents the war and the people who are in war. The train represents the children and adults getting out of war and shows happiness all around. The white piece of scarf represents the white like in heaven and that it kept them warm everyday with their families.
I hope you enjoyed my shoe and I hope I will do more stuff like that. I hope you had a good time reading my story, bye bye.
