Wish Float. I have been collecting chicken wishbones almost as long as I have been making chicken soup. The unsnapped bones have been mounting up in my kitchen for a long time,and over the years have solicited many odd, concerned looks and jokes from friends and family.Each wishbone represents a steaming pot of soup that I have made to nourish loved ones. I have saved the prized bones knowing that one day I would put them to good purpose, but I had no idea how I would use them. When I was recently given charge of one of Stella Meade/s shoes, it quickly became clear that some of my wishbones were needed to make a protective canopy for it, a covering filled with potential dreams and hopes.In addition to wishbones, wood, glass beads and gold leaf, this piece includes slumped, fused, and lamp worked glass.
