These two young girls incarcerated in a juvenile detention in Oregon volunteered to heal these shoes. Holding the original shoe they listened to the history behind it, and they both knew that they wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to society and other hurting children in this world. Although they cannot be named, they transformed the war ravaged shoe with loving energy and transformed the shoes into something peaceful in the hope that youth affected by the horrors of war may find their peace too.
