Reflections.When these shoes were broken, I was reminded of the saying \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"what
doesn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t break us, makes us stronger\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", although the scars remain
visible. This concept of quotations evolved into sharing the thoughts
of others regarding the welfare of children. I was particularly
touched by the comment of \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"what would you do if you were in these
childrens\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' shoes, if they had any\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\". I could visualize a war zone
fence and victims on each side - thus the representation by the
netting. Wanting to find some affirmative actions on behalf of
children, I selected a United Nations resolution for the other, or
hopeful, view of the artwork
