Shoes, Working with What we/ve got.
Often things are not what we would wish.
Nobody wants a child to hurt.
(I/d never want anyone to suffer)
As we work towards change,
Towards peace,Towards healing,
It/s necessary to see things as they are,
and to work with what we/ve got.
These little shoes all crumpled and torn,
Smooshed and bloodied, pinched, abandoned.....
These little shoes held little feet
That ran, tripped and puddle -jumped.
These little shoes held joy, tears and life undone.
